FALL 2024

Time sure does fly!!!  Our Fall has been full of lots of activity and sweet memories.  Documenting those here for my memory 💕

Jonathan had a birthday on August 20th🎂🥳

On Sept. 16th, I made a quick trip to LR to watch the kids while their parents ministered to a family in their small group who would soon say goodbye to husband/father 😢

Our oldest, Josh turned 47 on September 9th....our cute redheaded boy!🎂💙

His wonderful family now.......💖

A Fall Memory from 2021 🧡💛🧡

Jeff is teaching his monthly noon study this Fall on "The Rapture of the Saints"
He's having a great turn out
He also was blessed to speak at CBC Chapel one day this Fall

Eisley's 10th birthday was September 23rd💗🎂🎉

Rachel and Jonathan have started the tradition of taking each child on a one-on-one 10th birthday trip.  Last year, they took Copeland to the Texas coast.  For Eisley's surprise trip, it was to the Dallas area.  We gave her some cash to spend on her trip

And then took her brothers home with us for the weekend

Eisley loves roller coasters, so they gave her a day at Six Flags in Arlington, TX (and a hotel stay at Great Wolf Lodge that has a neat waterpark).  She had a wonderful time!!

It was actually my first time to have "just" the three boys by themselves.  I have to admit, it was quieter 🤣🤣.  Sister seems to add the "drama" to the family dynamics!

The boys went to church with us on Sunday

September 25th is Daughters Day.  So very thankful for our girl, Rachel!💖

And for our sweet daughter-in-laws, Carman and Michelle and granddaughters Laine, Ellie, Eisley, Saylor (and Avi who wasn't present that day for the picture).  Love them all!💕💕

September 28th is Son's Day💙💙

We are very thankful for our two sons, Josh and Andy!

And our Son-in-law, Jonathan and grandsons, Copeland, Shep, Gideon, Mack and Kipling.  Love them all as well!!💙💚🩵

Since February, I've dealt with very uncomfortable/painful shoulder pain.  Was finally diagnosed this summer with a frozen shoulder.  Did PT for several weeks which didn't help, so on Sept. 30th, ortho doctor, Austin Cole, did surgery on it.  Thankfully, it took care of the problem!!!

GRANDPARENT'S' DAY

We've only got to experience this one time prior to this year.  That was with Laine and Ellie when they lived in NWA (I think this was 2017 when Laine in 2nd Grade and Ellie was in Kindergarten).

So we were thrilled to be able to go to Tennessee this year and go to Saylor's Grandparents' Day at her Christian School on October 11.  She is in First Grade.

And then on November 7th, we were able to go to the 3 youngest McCrary grandchildren's school

Kipling:  Kindergarten

Eisley 4th Grade

Gideon 2nd Grade

Back to our TN Visit....a few more pictures from Grandparent's Day with Saylor

Singing "Waymaker" 💖

Delicious snacks and a tour of her room earlier

We loved having time with our Swart TN family!!

She beat us!!

Josh and Michelle had lots of fun things planned for us including a night in downtown Nashville and another night to a Harvest event at their Fairgrounds.

One afternoon, I took Saylor to see "The Wild Robot"

Loved going to church with them on Sunday!

And that evening, I fixed a roast meal for all the family.  We were thrilled Avi joined us!

It was a wonderful visit and hopefully won't be another year before we can go again!

A couple misc. pictures of our Texas grandkids....Laine ready for her school dance

Mack played soccer this Fall -- he's on a great team and he is a great player!

Our youngest grandchild, Kipling's 6th birthday was on October 23rd 💙🎂🥳

Also on October 23rd, we traveled with a great group of "Seniors--and some not so Senior" to Eureka Springs for a Fall Foliage outing.  We stopped on our way home at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, AR where we saw some beautiful fall colors!

Just posting for memory sake.....October 28th of last year, Mom was placed on Hospice (where she remained until she died on December 29th).

The Women's Ministry at Antioch, "LadyLife" always are so sweet to do a Staff Appreciation Lunch in October. It was a delicious meal catered from Pasta Grill!!

Copeland went to his first "school" Halloween Dance....

HALLOWEEN 2024

Yes, even Momma, who is now a public school teacher dressed up😁

Jeff and Mark Stitch led another 9 month MD5 Men's Group.  Great group!

And I led these 5 gals thru the Antioch Discipleship/Foundations study this Fall

NOVEMBER 5th - ELECTION DAY!   We are so very thankful God heard the prayers of many and gave America "grace" instead of what we deserve!!!  Thank you, Lord!

The McCrary grandchildren stayed with us a couple of nights in November so Momma could get things done in preparation for their Disney Trip Nov 15-Dec. 1 (they are enroute as I type this.  Praying for safe travels and a wonderful vacation for all!)

Senior Adult Conference (Celebration) was Nov. 12-14 Branson, MO.  Another great meeting!

Linda and Ruth have been such a major blessing to Jeff in helping plan/organize all the Senior activities!

The conference started out rough for me.  I was struggling with head and chest cold before even going and then in bed the first night of the conference with fever, chills and vomiting.  I was able to attend some of the events on Wednesday and thankfully by our last morning there, I was feeling better (and had a voice--prior to that it was just a raspy whisper).  Jo Ann asked to take my picture for her contacts, so I am posting just to say how thankful I was that I was feeling better!!

Shep turns 9 years old on November 23rd!!💙🎂🥳

Kaye is graciously including Jeff and I in her and Rob's Thanksgiving day dinner plans🦃.  It will be a delicious meal and a fun visit with Rob's family and Kaye's kids/grandkids.  We are looking forward to it!

And then.....the very busy Christmas season begins🎄🎄.  I am late this year getting my house decorated.  Hope to do so next week.  But for today, this is so true!
So.very.thankful!🧡  So.very.blessed!!💛
