April 30th (2025), I had a second shoulder surgery π£. I have been dealing with a frozen shoulder since February 2024. I had the first surgery (manipulation only) in September 2024 with PT following. But it didn't last. By the end of the year, I was having a lot of pain. I had a couple of steroid shots, gone to PT, etc., but nothing helped for any length of time. On the cruise, I took a hard fall on that shoulder and knew I just made the problems worse. So when I got home from the cruise, I saw Doctor Cole again and he ordered an MRI (which was so awful since they strapped that shoulder down....I almost lost it). The results did show that I had a lot of scar tissue, bursitis, born spurs, torn bicep tendon as well as the very frozen shoulder. So surgery happened again. This time the doctor went into the shoulder and cleaned out scar tissue, bone spurs, cut that tendon, and then again manipulated the shoulder to unfreeze it. I had started sleeping in my recliner before the surgery as it was miserable in bed. Little did I know that 3 months later, I would still be sleeping in the recliner π.
It was a big birthday for Rachelπ....40 years old on May 1st. How can our baby be 40!?!?!?
Mother's Day, May 10th. So thankful I am blessed to be Mom to Josh, Andy & Rachel!
The "Moms" with their children
A picture with my friend Linda at church on Mother's Dayπ
Due to the sad loss of "Aunt Debbie" (Carman's mom's sister), we saw Andy's family at a funeral in Arkansas on May12th. This was our first time to see them since Christmas!π’ The kids looked like they had grown a foot!π
Andy did great preaching the service
Our first grandson, Copeland Ware, turned 12 on May 19th π
May 19-24, Kaye, Rob, Bev, Don and Jeff and I spent the week together at the Harkness' lakehouse in Bella Vista. It's always so enjoyable!

Getting some pictures in our "Sister Cruise" shirts
One of the days that week, we drove "home" to SE Kansas to decorate graves. First to Pittsburg so Jeff could decorate his Mom's grave and our Grandparent Brunks graves.
And then to Girard to decorate Mom and Dad's graves and Grandparent Boore's graves
and brother, Dwayne
That evening, several of our Boore and Brunk relatives met us for chicken at Chicken Annie's, Girard. So good to see each one!! We sure love our extended family!π
Only remaining Aunts (Joan and Judy) and Uncle Marvinπππ
Aunt Judy took some pictures of usπ
On our last full day in Bella Vista, Don, Bev, Kaye and I went to Bentonville. We visited with the Goering's and saw the pretty updates that have been made to the church and their house and then Mike and Lincoln joined us as we went downtown Bentonville and toured the Walmart Museum, saw where Lincoln worked and ate some ice cream. It was all very fun!
We kept the McCrary kids the end of May while Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th birthdays with a trip to California.
We played lots of games, did a picnic/splash pad/went to a movie, etc.
We have so enjoyed almost six years having Travis Sellers as our Worship Pastor. He was also such a great neighbor to us, mowing our yard for 3 summers (with no pay!). Travis and Caroline along with a team of 30 are planting a church in Celina, TX so Sunday, May 25th was their last Sunday with us. We sure are going to miss them but know God has big plans using them and the team in Texas!
Jeff has had the blessing, for the past five years, of being a part of an excellent Men’s discipleship ministry that was founded by Steve Crawley and Roger Smithson and its called MD5. He participated in a group for two years and then for the last three years, he and Mark Stitch have led groups. It’s a huge commitment for those involved. 30 weeks of meetings plus homework, reading books, and listening to videos. There are many testimonials of how it has been life changing! This is a picture of the group this year! May God continue to bless the ministry and all the men who have been involved over the years!
Rachel is transitioning from a Kindergarten teacher to the Art Teacher (K-grade 5). With all her creativity, she will be great at this! We are proud of her!π
Rachel McCrary is excited to continue at Fulbright Elementary as she moves from the kindergarten classroom into the art room! With a Master’s Degree in Early Education and years of experience helping little ones learn and grow, Mrs. McCrary can’t wait to swap crayons for paintbrushes and turn the art room into a colorful hub of creativity. She believes every child is an artist and loves watching students light up when they discover what they can create. Outside of school, Mrs. McCrary enjoys spending time with her husband and their four kids, finding ways to be creative at home, and reading books as often as she can. She’s ready to roll up her sleeves, get messy, and help every student make this year a masterpiece!
I was still going to PT 3 times a week thru May and doing my daily exercises but still having much discomfortπ’
But I definitely will see the glass half full and very thankful for the blessings during April and May!
