April: Birthdays, Hard Work and Sadness

On March 27th, we received word that my Uncle Wayne Boore had passed away.
His body had been imprisoned for so many years (Parkinson’s and a stroke). We rejoice that he is now whole, healthy and having the time of his life seeing Jesus, my Dad, my Grandparents and many others!πŸ’™πŸ˜’πŸ’™He was such a fun Uncle—onery as they come. Over the years, our Andy was compared often to him πŸ˜Š. We know we will see him again!
Jeff and I were able to attend his graveside services on Friday in Girard and his Celebration of Life service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Girard on Saturday.  It was a very touching service!
The Boore family present for the service at Mt. Olive:
My sisters and I have wonderful memories spending many hours together growing up with Jan, Cheryl, Marsha and Uncle Wayne and Aunt Jo πŸ’“
On Sunday afternoon, Mom, Bev and I met Kaye at the lakehouse in Bella Vista to do some deep cleaning.  It was a very enjoyable week, not only cleaning, but enjoying time together in such a beautiful setting!
On Friday, the 5th, we hosted a birthday party for Mom.  There is another posting below this one dedicated just to that party.
I was thrilled that Rachel and her family were able to come and spend some time with us that day.
April 9th, this cutie pie turned 10 months old!  Sure are missing seeing our Texas and Tennessee kiddos!
The week after my time in BV, I met Rachel in Rogers to get her 4 kids to spend some time in Kansas while mom and dad packed up their belongings for a move.
They were good children for me!
Most probably, their last time to go to church with Papa and DeDe in Galena 😒
It was Palm Sunday and an Easter Egg Hunt....here are the nursery cuties....
They all got a basketful of goodies!
And these two got bags full of candy!
On their last day with us, we had to make one more visit to Copeland's beloved Cars on the Route
We then met Momma at a nice park in Rogers to exchange them.
Easter was a wonderful day at First Baptist!  Gorgeous weather, full house, beautiful music and a great sermon!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch with the "Hall" family and friends:
In the early morning hours on the day after Easter, we received word that Mom's youngest sister, Aunt Mildred had passed away.  Mom has already lost another sister and a brother.  So now she only has one sibling left, Uncle Harry, who is 92 years old and in frail health.  Definitely a sad time for my Mom 😒
I left that same day to head to Little Rock to help Rachel clean, unpack and take care of these 4 precious kiddos in their beautiful new Little Rock home.

This week was full of birthdays!!  We were sad not to get to see any of these grandchildren in person on their birthday, but thankful for technology to video and/or Facetime with them.

Saylor Faye turned 1 year old on the 22nd
She is precious! πŸ’–
Kipling turned 6 months old on the 23rd.  Sweet baby boy! πŸ’™
Ellie Kate turned 7 years old on the 23rd.  Such a blessing to us! πŸ’–
Lainey Bug (Laine Virginia) turned 9 years old on the 26th!  It's so hard to believe that our first grandchild to call us Papa and DeDe is already 9 years old!  What joy you have brought us! πŸ’–

I came home a day early from Rachel's in order to attend my Aunt Mildred's funeral service
Jeff was honored to preach it.  It was a very good service.  We look forward to also seeing Aunt Mildred again someday!

And to close out the month, this cutie pie, Gideon Elias, turned 2 on the 27th!!  Love him lots!πŸ’™

May is full of more birthdays and much more activity!!  Looking forward to some slower and more relaxing days after Jeff retires and we get moved and settled.  But that's not going to happen for 3-4 more months!  Praying for God's continued strength and grace for all the days ahead!
