History of our Boore Girls Events (with pictures of the last one this past weekend)

First Outing was a Mother’s Day event in
Tulsa, OK—1995
Holly and Jan helped organize it.  As far as we can remember this is who attended:  Joan, Jan, Cheryl, Marsha, Jo’s sister, Sharon, Dorothy, Debbie, Beverly, Kaye, Freda, Holly, Michelle and her mom, Terri, Judy, Nancy and her mom Sandra, and Patti and her mom, Bertha
(We have not located any pictures--if someone has one, please email or mail to me--thank you!!)

1996
Patti Boore invited all the Boore women who could come to her home for an evening fellowship.  I have no idea who attended.  I did attend with my friend Leslie Lemons from Mesquite, TX.  We had driven up to pick Rachel up who had spent the week with Grandma.
(Again, there are no pictures that I'm aware of)

2000
Weir, Kansas – Bed and Breakfast (Barn).  Those present: Holly, Dorothy, Debbie, Kaye, Freda, Michelle, Judy, Nancy, Patti, Joan and Cheryl
(No pictures at this time)

2002

From pictures, it appears that Judy, Nancy, Patti, Debbie, Rachel,
Dorothy, Kaye, and Holly went.
We played several games that Nancy brought....this was one of them!

I don't remember any other details of the weekend....sorry!

This was the first of several outings at Kaye’s Lakehouses in Bella Vista, AR

This past week, Mom, Kaye and I meet at the Frensham Lakehouse on Monday to spend a few relaxing days before family joined us later in the week.  One day we went to the Chihuly Exhibit at Crystal Bridges in Bentonville.  It was a fun day.
Also toured the Frank Lloyd Wright home located there.  Interesting.

August, 2017:
On Thursday, Rachel and her 3 children along with Laine and Ellie came and stayed with us.  Also Kristen and her 3 children came for the day.  Adrienne joined us for the evening.
The cousins sure had a fun time playing together throughout the weekend

Great Grandma Boore with 8 of her 19 greats!
Kaye, Kristin and Adrienne served us a delicious chicken and dumplings meal Thursday night.
 Rachel and her youngest
Gideon was pretty popular and got lots of "holding" 😍
Carman joined us Friday at noon.
Jonathan came after work and took Copeland and Eisley home for the rest of the weekend to spend time with their Grandma McCrary and Aunt Jen Jen.
Friday evening, Rachel, Carman and I served a spaghetti meal to all.
Holly, Shawnee, and Chelsea had arrived.
We had a fun evening of games and lots of laughter.

The next morning, Mom treated us to breakfast at Duffers Restaurant in Bella Vista.
Mom and I took these 3 back to the lakehouse and the rest of the gals went Flea Market/Consignment shopping.
Nancy drove down after fulfilling a commitment she had that morning in Girard.  She got lots of sweet smiles from the baby 😍
After everyone returned from their shopping trip, we gathered at the Portsmouth house and had a wonderful time of "Show and Tell" (Holly's idea and a great one!)
Laine started us off....she brought her "Lovie" -- a gift Papa and DeDe gave her before she was ever born.  It has her name, "Laine Virginia" monogrammed on it as well as "We Love You" "Papa and "DeDe" πŸ’– She loves her lovie and may still have it when she marries 😊
Here is a Readers Digest version of that was shared:
Kaye – cute way of teaching her grandchildren the 10 Commandments with her fingers
Carman – Week and Meal Planner/Organizational Skills
Kristin – Refinishing furniture ideas and making clothes for her girls
Rachel – the process for making her signs for her Ash+Pine Woodworks business
Shawnee – Creating a new blog focusing on life in SE Kansas
Dorothy – told the story of her wedding day
Debbie – Prayer Book/Boore Girls History
Chelsea – Making daily journal notes on a calendar for memory sake/also did a makeup tutorial at a later time
Holly – mailing get well card tips; recommendation of good author; funny story of a mix up with a doctor's office; and the two wedding books she created for Shawnee and Joel
Nancy – showed the wedding books for Morgan and Chelsea that Holly had made and told of how they were bookends of joy and healing with her Mom’s death

As we were about to finish up with the Show and Tell late Saturday afternoon, Andy & Shep arrived to take Carman and the girls home.  We had him take our group picture.
Another one of Grandma with 7 of the 19 greats
The "younger" girls and their kiddos
Pretty girls -- we are so proud of the wives, mommas and godly women that they all are!!
Holly with the help of Shawnee, Nancy & Chelsea fed us a delicious taco salad meal.
We then played more games on the screened in porch and laughed and laughed!
The weather could not have been more beautiful for the first week of August!  We didn't swim this time but just enjoyed the cooler temps and being together.
(Picture below--playing "Celebrities" -- Holly and Rachel trying to figure out answer--Shawnee must have known by her grin 😊😊)
Early Sunday morning, Shawnee went home to see her husband before he left town for work.
It was a rainy morning.  Gideon and I enjoyed some porch time while his Momma was getting ready
Great Grandma Boore with her youngest great grandchild
Some of us went to Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville that morning (others went to Metro).  A picture of the "older" ladies of the group at Bethel.
 Pretty Momma and Daughter πŸ’•
Mike Goering (Kaye's son-in-law) is the Pastor at Bethel.  He did a great job preaching. It was a very sweet service.
Mom once again treated us to a meal at Abuelos for all those that were at Bethel that morning including her former pastor and wife, Gary and Debbie Brewer.
It was another wonderful Boore girls outing. We did miss many of our family but understood why they couldn't come this time.  We so appreciate Kaye sharing her lakehouses with us and to all who were able to join us!  So thankful for family, for all the memories over the years and the love of Christ that binds us together!
