Laine's Baptism Day - August 27, 2017

I wanted to write a posting about Laine's big day!  For not only our memory but for Laine to be able to look back on in years to come and enjoy the memories.  πŸ’œ
Jeff, Mom and I drove down to Arkansas that morning for the services.
Laine is Jeff and I's first grandchild to accept Jesus as her Savior and then be baptized.  We are so very proud of her as she has made the greatest decision she will ever make in life!!  She is not only our granddaughter, but our sister in Christ!!  How we love you, precious girl! πŸ’—

Great Grandma and baby Gideon πŸ’™
Jeff had the privilege of opening the service in prayer
Our son, Andy, preached a great sermon!
And then had the great honor of baptizing his firstborn
One of the church photographers got some great shots of the baptism!
AHHHH πŸ’Ÿ
The family came to support Lainey Bug!
A great day!
Aunt Ray Ray's family with her first niece
Aunt Co Co and family with Laine:
And Papa and DeDe with 6 of their grand blessings
After the service, Carman was so sweet to provide a meal for all the family at their home.
What a blessing to Laine to have two of her great grandmas present!!
Jeff and I gave Laine a prayer journal to commemorate the day.  I have journaled for many years and hope that Laine will begin that practice as a young girl.  Jeff and I both wrote a personal letter to her in the front of the journal and then wrote several of our favorite Scriptures in the back.
It was engraved, "Lainey Bug Swart" πŸ’•

Our family that day
(we sure missed Josh, Michelle & Avi and they hated to miss it!)
Carman's dad and family
Carman's mom and family
(Carman's sister, Cali got sick early that morning, so Grandma Betty stayed at the house with her and then watched the baptism on video)
Two videos of the baptismal service
I love this one as it shows the sweet hug between daddy and daughter at the end!

Lainey Bug, we are so very proud of you!!  Our prayer is that you will always love Jesus with all your heart and serve Him all the days of your life.  We love you!! πŸ’–πŸ’–
