September is a very “special” month to Jeff and I.
After almost 5 years of “longing,”
God blessed us on Sept. 9, 1977 with our firstborn, Joshua Jerome – 40 years
ago!! Fast forward 32 years to Sept. 4,
2009 -- and we got the exciting news that we were finally going to be
grandparents (Laine Virginia). Exactly two years later to the date, Sept. 4,
2011, we learned we were going to have a second grandchild (Ellie Kate)!! Then 5 years later, on Sept. 2, 2016, we were
given the news that our 7th grandchild was coming (Gideon Elias). And now……drumroll……..we got the blessed news
on Sept. 5, 2017, that our 8th grandbaby is on his/her way!!! Josh
and Michelle are expecting! Josh has
longed for the day when he could make that announcement. To say we are excited would be an
understatement. We appreciate your prayers
for a healthy Swart baby next Spring!!
While we were in Florida, Josh posted this picture and comment on September 19th on Instagram and Facebook:
This is our baby Peanut. I knew it would be special to finally see "it", but I honestly never knew how a tiny rapid heartbeat can change your life in an instant. I fell in love today, and I can't wait to hold you next April. God has blessed me more than I ever deserve.

Michelle has an appointment with a high risk doctor on October 11th for blood work, sonogram, gender test, etc. Her regular doctor has no concerns, but since she is 40 years old, she wanted to take this extra precaution and we think it's a wise decision.

On Monday, October 23rd, tests results were in:
Michelle is officially low risk! Chromosomes weren't elevated and everything is looking exactly like it should. Thank you, Jesus!!
That night the gender reveal happened with a golf club/golf ball. Hopefully video posted:
