Disney - Tuesday - Day 2 - Magic Kingdom

TUESDAY DECEMBER 6

Today was our day to wear our "Swart" shirts since we were going to Magic Kingdom/Cinderella's Castle.  Got a couple of pictures with our roommates💓💓

7:20 am—Left room to walk to bus stop to take bus to Magic Kingdom (bus stop picture)

Josh's crew were running late, so caught a later bus.

7:28 am—Boarded bus to Magic Kingdom near our rooms

7:44 am—Arrived at Magic Kingdom

(Took some pictures but hated Josh's family wasn't there for these pictures😢)

8:05 am—Inside the Magic Kingdom Park!!! Still Jeff's favorite!!!

8:10 am—Took pictures in front of Cinderella’s Castle

(This one was later in the day when Avi and Saylor were with us)

It appears to be nighttime for some of these, but it was early morning..the Disney photographer should have realized the shadows would make the pictures dark 😖

8:40 am—Rode Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

8:51–Rode the People Mover

9:05–Walked to Adventure Land and this is where Josh, Michelle, Avi and Saylor met us

9:20 am—Rode Pirates of the Caribbean

9:40 am—some of us rode Pirates a second time using our fast pass

10:05am—Some of our group rode the Magic Carpets of Aladdin

10:32–Rode Jungle Cruise

10:55 am—Left Adventure Land for Frontierland

11:00 am—Arrived in Frontierland!

11:05–Watched Country Bear Jamboree

11:50 am—Rode Splash Mountain.  So glad we got to ride it this time (we didn't in 2017 as it was closed down) and in January of 2023, they closed it permanently.  Will create a completely different ride here.  I am sad about that as it's one of my favorites in Magic Kingdom!

Yes, we did get a little wet!😀

12:17 pm—Rode Thunder Mountain Railroad. It stopped about 2/3rds of the way through. I guess we are a jinx!

12:38 pm—Ate lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Cafe & Inn—good food, but had to wait forever!  Naptime while waiting on food!

Saylor had an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, so Josh's family had to leave the restaurant before they even got their food (they had paid for the food via the mobile app--bummer)!

But this little beauty was worth it!💖💖

2:03 pm—While Josh's family was gone, the rest of us toured the Haunted Mansion. Longest Lightening line thus far!

Entered the Haunted Mansion after waiting 23 minutes! The ride stopped! Imagine that😒!!!  We did eventually get on it!

2:42 pm—Took pictures in front of Haunted Mansion & left Frontierland

We had pictures made with Laine when we came in 2017, so I wanted to recreate a couple of those💓

2:47 pm—Entered Fantasyland to wait on Josh's crew to rejoin us!!!

3:13 pm—most of us Rode Prince Charming Regal Carousel

3:17 pm—Ice Cream Break

3:45–We all Rode Peter Pan’s Flight

4:01 pm—we all Rode It’s A Small World.

Tired little buddy.....at this point, we were all getting a little weary!

4:31 pm—Actually boarded It’s A Small World after waiting 30 minutes. The longest wait of the week! (which is a miracle considering how long the regular lines were!)

4:56 pm—We rode The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

5:15 pm—We rode Under the Sea—The Journey of the Little Mermaid. Another ride stopped!!! Not once but twice!!! The jinx continues!!!

5:38 pm—Several rode Tomorrowland Speedway (our last ride for this day)

Nighttime had arrived!!  Castle is vey pretty at night.  Magic Kingdom closed at 6 most nights as they were offering a special Mickey's Christmas event after 6 (that you had to pay extra for😕)

Leaving Magic Kingdom ....

6:15 pm—Left the Magic Kingdom to take the Monorail to the Contemporary Resort for a character dinner (I will do a separate post of the Chef Mickey's Dinner)

6:35 pm—Boarded Monorail for Contemporary Resort

6:39 pm—Arrived at Contemporary Resort

Adults shopped & kids played video games

7:25 pm—we all ate at Chef Mickey’s Dinner with the Fab 5–Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, & Goofy. (pictures in next post)

8:45 pm—Left the dinner for the Monorail to Magic Kingdom

8:58 pm—Boarded the Monorail

9:16 pm—Arrived in the Magic Kingdom

9:28 pm—Boarded a bus to Caribbean Beach Resort

Sadly on this night, Kipling got sick.  He didn't eat anything at the character meal and then threw up several times on the long journey back to the hotel....on the monorail and they had to get off a bus stop early (bless his heart and Momma's too!).  Once back in their room, Rachel realized he didn't drink anything from his water jug that day, so it was determined he was probably dehydrated.  She pumped him with fluids and thankfully he slept all night and woke up fine the next day!!  So glad!

9:53 pm—Arrived at Caribbean Beach Resort & walked to hotel room

9:58 pm—Arrived at hotel room

10:45 pm—Ahhh--showered and bedtime!
